This tasty Garlic Shrimp with Buckwheat Noodles recipe has ingredients from the Sirtfood diet. If you are not familiar with the Sirtfood diet, it is the high-nutrient diet that Adele lost 50 pounds on! 1 lb of deveined shrimp, shells removed leaving on tails
9.5 oz Buckwheat noodles (I used Soba Organic)
Prepare shrimp by rinsing and patting dry
Put shrimp into a 1 qt ziploc bag
add 1/4 cup of olive oil into the bag
add 3 cloves of minced garlic into the bag
add finely chopped parsley into the bag
massage the marinade into the shrimp, chill for one hour.
Cover the bottom of the frying pan with olive oil
add 1/2 finely chopped red onion
add 3 cloves of minced garlic
add shrimp with marinade into the pan after the red onions have softened
while the shrimp mixture is cooking
cook the soba noodles in a large pot of boiling water. When cooked strain, rinse and add into the frying pan with the shrimp mixture. Mix together and serve.
optional: Add crushed red chile pepper & sea salt
