Adele’s incredible seven stone weight loss inspired by close pal Harry Styles

Four years ago Adele took the Glastonbury Pyramid stage by storm.
Fresh from the massive success of her sell-out album and world tour, the 32-year-old was the big name for the Saturday night headline slot of the iconic festival.
And despite wowing crowds with her performance going down in history as one of the best ever, Adele was almost too nervous to take to the stage.
Jo Whiley was backstage and told The Sun: “She was really scared, really, really scared. We were doing the interview and at one point she had to stop as she was in tears.
“She was saying how much Glastonbury meant to her, and she’d been going since she was a child.

“She was just so stricken with nerves, absolutely panic stricken.”
Not that any of the hundreds of thousands watching from Worthy Farm, or the millions at home, would have noticed.
Adele held her fans in the palm of her hand throughout, swearing a record 33 times – despite being warned about her potty mouth by BBC bosses.
The year after her barnstorming Glastonbury performance, Adele married her long-term partner, Simon Konecki, and the father of her son, Angelo.
It seemed the mega star had her happy ending. But two years later, the relationship was over and the couple split.

Since then, the Someone Like You singer had embarked on an intensive diet and fitness regime and shed a massive seven stone.
Adele posted a stunning snap on her 32nd birthday showing just how much she has lost.
In her first Instagram post of the year the Someone Like Me singer thanked her fans and loved ones for their birthday messages.
Adele also praised the NHS frontline heroes who are risking their lives to keep the country safe.
She wrote: “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time.

“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels 2020 okay bye thanks.”
Wearing a mid-length black dress and heels, Adele’s incredible transformation was praised by both her army of fans and celeb pals.
Model Chrissy Teigen summed it with the comment: “I mean are you kidding me.”
Adele’s weight loss journey started following her split with ex-husband, Simon Konecki last year, with who she shares son, Angelo.
She is said to have wanted to make a change in her life when she became single again and embarked on a gruelling weight loss and training regime.

It’s a far cry from the Adele who burst onto the pop scene when she was still a teenager.
She famously rejected the pressure to look a certain way and was always determined to do things her own way.
Her weight loss journey has been no different, with one friend close to the star insisting she was doing this for herself.
The source told People: “She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mum possible.
“Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really how been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better.

“She is more confident, dresses differently and she just seems happier overall.”
And her new lifestyle was kick-started by her friend and pop star pal, Harry Styles.
The close pals were pictured on a luxury break last year, with Adele looking super slim as she laughed on the beach with the former One Direction singer.
But his involvement in her weight loss journey goes back much further.
Harry was the one who took her hiking along his favourite trails in Malibu and to his HITT classes following the breakdown of her marriage to Simon.

It clearly brought the pair even closer together as adorable snaps of the close friends emerged in January and Adele frolicking on a Caribbean beach with Harry and James Cordon.
Adele had started making small changes to her diet following the birth of her son, Angelo, in 2012 – but remained determined to only lose weight for herself and her family.
She also ditched the 10 cups of sugary tea she used to drink each day and waved goodbye to alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine and all “spicy, citrusy, and tangy” foods in a bid to protect her incredible voice.
She told Australia’s 60 Minutes of her 2011 vocal hemorrhage: “It’s f***ing boring, but I don’t think you take your voice seriously until you’ve an accident.
“I’m frightened all the time I’m going to damage my voice.”

In 2016 she shed yet more weight ahead of her tour in a bid to “get some stamina”.
And by 2017 she was believed to have lost more than two stone, reportedly due to implementing a second change – The Sirtfood Diet.
The food programme sees slimmers fill up on plant-based foods like kale, buckwheat, green tea and tumeric.
The foods are known as sirtuin activators, and are said to control the way the body processes fat and sugar and regulate the appetite in the process.
Green tea and cocoa powder are also on the menu, along with red wine and cheese.

“The Sirtfood Diet is all about losing weight and feeling fantastic through eating great-tasting food,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“It’s based on extensive research into the power of key plant foods, which when added to our diet turn on fat burning and improve wellbeing.”
But following her split with Simon, Adele really kicked things up a gear and completely revamped her fitness regime.
Adele hired LA ‘body wizard’ pilates instructor Camila Goodis – who also works with Piers Morgan’s wife Celia Walden.
Camila was introduced to Adele through Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field and says the down-to-earth star still isn’t a huge fan of working out.
Camila told The Sun: “I trained Ayda for a long time and it happens that they are good friends so I did Adele when she was there in Robbie’s house.
“I don’t believe she liked exercise much but she has changed her lifestyle and I believe that 90 per cent was dieting.”
And despite Adele’s dedication, she has refreshingly admitted that she will never, ever, relish going to the gym.
“I mainly moan. I’m not, like, skipping to the f-cking gym. I don’t enjoy it,” she told Rolling Stone in 2016.
“I do like doing weights. I don’t like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I’m so conscious when I’m lifting weights not to let them burst in my face. And if I don’t tour, you’ll catch me back down at the Chinese!”
